IPRED Watchlist

I found out about a new intresting site that will be watching the watchers of the IPRED law, its called ipred.bitchware.se. What you do is that you submit your IP and it will be watched if it becomes under investigation. So, perhaps that will help somebody to clean out their stuff before the pigs comes knocking on the door. You can also help out by monitoring the local court where you live if you have the time and effort.

GNU/kFreeBSD

Wow! Debian gets FreeBSD kernel support. Yes, the new architectures are called kfreebsd-i386 and kfreebsd-amd64 aka GNU/kFreeBSD i386 and amd64. They are available in unstable and experimental but as they are starting out empty and only importing what is needed you’ll not be able to use it immediately. But I think it’s a cool thing and looking forward to what will happen with it.

IPRED

1 of April will always be remembered as the day when the Swedish government stole a bit of their citizens freedom. Yes, tomorrow the IPRED law will start, you will be monitored and your “free” and “boundless” Internet will no longer exist. The way Moderaterna stole our freedom will NEVER ever be forgotten. So to Fredrik Reinfeldt I say, F U C K – O F F and we will not vote for you next time. You think we are down, you just wait and see…

There is a good blog article written by Emma Marie Andersson at Aftonbladet regarding this stupid law.

Harmony one remote

Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote

Harmony One Universal Remote

Yesterday I got my Harmony One remote made by Logitech, but I didn’t get around to configure it until today. The software for configuring it are windows and mac, I think Logitech should consider making the software for Linux aswell. There is a project called Concordance but currently it doesn’t support the Harmony One model. So, I used Virtualbox with WinXP to do my configuration and it worked nicely without any hassle. I had some problems with my Samsung PS42Q97HD when I was setting up my media centre (which is a Rapsody N35), somehow when it was supposed to switch to HDMI it promptly changed to DTS which was not what i had configured it to do. Well, poking around in the configuration for a while I found an alternative way to fix it with my Samsung by “hard setting” every input. I really like the “One-touch” access feature that enables all units in one go, like if you’re going to watch a movie it powers on all units belonging to that activity. If you’re planning of buying a universal remote I highly recommend this one, it’s really good, ergonomic and it looks stylish.
