C=64 Laptop

Got a cool link from a friend of mine that showed one dude that had remade his old C=64 into a laptop. I wish I would have had one of those 20 years ago when I went to computer parties carrying computer, floppy, tv and sleeping bag. It would have been so much easier, but on the other hand that was a part of the whole experience.

Distant memories

I converted one of my old chip modules to mp3 tonight, it’s called “Distant memories” and was made way back in 2000 for the Hugi discmag issue 20. When I did this song I remember that I wanted to catch the feeling of dreaming and remembering the good times from the demoscene. Enjoy!

Stargazer by Andromeda and Orb

While we’re at it I might aswell throw another excellent demo right your way. I stumbled across a demo by Andromeda and Orb called Stargazer, and holy shit is this awesome or what! Right when it starts you know that this is going to be something out of the ordinary with that “spacey” bass and futurish lightning effects on the text. I think I must place this demo in the top ten best productions I’ve ever seen! Grab the excellent music by Gloom here and the 720p video here.

Breakpoint 2008 invitation

Ok, so let’s get this party started. I was checking out youtube a couple of days ago for new demos and intros that had been released and I found an excellent party invitation for Breakpoint 2008 from Rebels called Digital Garden. What really got me hooked was the “dreamy” track made by Chromag, but I really enjoyed the code and presentation of the guest and the competitions aswell. It’s really amazing what they can squeeze in to demos these days.
