Filesharing traffic levels higher after IPRED

I’m not a rocket scientist but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that people wouldn’t stop file sharing just because some idiots came up with a law against it. (Hey Pontén)… So what was thought as a law to prevent people from daring to file share actually turned out to serve no actual purpose. When do they ever learn that some things can never be stopped, because there is always another way to solve a problem.

Netnod november

Here we can see the traffic levels before April 1st last year when IPRED was voted through and how the traffic increased over the year to actually surpass them.

FRA changes voted through

FRA

With 158 votes to 153, the changes to the wiretapping law which will enable the civil agency (FRA – Defense Radio Agency) to snoop traffic crossing the Swedish border, was today voted through in the Swedish parliament.

I wasn’t expecting any other outcome than this because the current government is a bunch of idiots. All we can hope for now is that the opposition (S, V and MP) will win the next election and that they’ll go through with their promise of tearing up the law.

Atleast I’ll know where to put my vote and I hope all of you out there knows too. I don’t want my children to grow up in a society that monitors and controls every footstep and action you’re taking.

Less piracy after IPRED?

SVT Kultur reports that piracy has gone down from four to two releases in April after the IPRED law was voted through. EHHH! What sites are you guys on? we-are-mega-lame.com? Come on, get your shit together before posting such crap stats. Pontén is quoted in this article but since he doesn’t have a clue about almost everything I don’t feel that I need to quote what he said in this article. Basicly everything that man says is a bunch of mindless mumbo jumbo.

IPRED Watchlist

I found out about a new intresting site that will be watching the watchers of the IPRED law, its called ipred.bitchware.se. What you do is that you submit your IP and it will be watched if it becomes under investigation. So, perhaps that will help somebody to clean out their stuff before the pigs comes knocking on the door. You can also help out by monitoring the local court where you live if you have the time and effort.

IPRED

1 of April will always be remembered as the day when the Swedish government stole a bit of their citizens freedom. Yes, tomorrow the IPRED law will start, you will be monitored and your “free” and “boundless” Internet will no longer exist. The way Moderaterna stole our freedom will NEVER ever be forgotten. So to Fredrik Reinfeldt I say, F U C K – O F F and we will not vote for you next time. You think we are down, you just wait and see…

There is a good blog article written by Emma Marie Andersson at Aftonbladet regarding this stupid law.
